The aim of this task was to disseminate and promote the uptake of findings from the FLOODsite project in the form of clear and concise text-based material, with special attention to the target audiences of the general public, the professional community and the teaching and academic communities.
This resulted in two outputs:
- A single volume handbook that serves as a guide to flood risk assessment and flood risk management, gathering together the outcomes from the individual scientific tasks within the FLOODsite project. This can be used for educational purposes (by students and teachers) or as an introduction to this subject area for planners, policy-makers and the flood risk community in general in Europe. This can be accessed here or by clicking on the “Publications Currently Available Online” button below.
- A website designed to make scientific knowledge regarding flooding and flood risk available to secondary school teachers and children. This includes quizzes, games, assignments and lesson themes, as well as information on flood risk in Europe. This is available in English and Dutch and can be accessed here.
